ECU remapping for the way you drive.

Discuss stronger mid-range response, more usable torque or a calibration matched to your modifications. We start with the vehicle specification and condition, then agree a realistic plan.

Choose the right service

What do you need help with?

Stage 1

Calibration for a suitable vehicle with standard hardware. Engine health, fuel specification and drivetrain limits still matter.

Stage 2 & custom

For a defined hardware specification. Cooling, intake, exhaust compliance and fuel supply are reviewed before agreeing the calibration.

Daily driving & vans

Tell us how the vehicle is used, including loads or towing. A smoother torque delivery can matter more than a peak figure; fuel savings are not guaranteed.

Understanding the result

More than a peak power number

Illustration only. These curves are not measured results, a vehicle quotation or a promise of gains.

A useful calibration considers how torque builds through the rev range, not just the highest number. We discuss realistic targets for your engine, fuel, gearbox and condition before booking. Actual power and torque require a suitable measurement; a bench flash alone cannot confirm them.

A clear process

How it works

  1. Identify the vehicle

Send the registration or VIN, engine, gearbox, existing modifications and your goal. ECU type and software version determine which methods are available.

  2. Check the condition

We agree the diagnostic checks needed before calibration. Existing starting, boost, fuelling, temperature or transmission faults must be resolved first.

  3. Agree the calibration

We confirm the supported read/write method, backup or recovery route, scope and price. The intended fuel and any supporting hardware are part of the specification.

  4. Write, check and document

On supported units we write and verify the software, then agree the appropriate vehicle checks. You receive a record of the work and any remaining checks or limitations.

Before you book

Power and torque

Torque describes the engine’s turning effort; power depends on torque and engine speed. A useful result considers the whole operating range and gearbox capacity. Headline gains from another car are not a measurement of yours.

What the quote includes

Your written quote identifies the vehicle, work scope, supported access method, checks and price. Dyno testing is included only when explicitly arranged; we do not claim an in-house dyno test with every remap.

Road use

Road-vehicle emissions systems must remain present and working. We do not offer DPF, EGR, catalyst or AdBlue deletion for road vehicles. A remap does not guarantee an MOT pass or override a mechanical fault.

Stage names are a guide

Stage 1, 2 and 3 are common marketing terms, not a universal technical standard. The actual hardware, software changes and validation plan in your quotation define the service.

Your questions answered

How much extra power will my car make?

That depends on the exact engine, ECU software, fuel, hardware and condition. Send those details for an assessment. We do not apply a universal percentage or present illustrative curves as your dyno result.

Can I send just the ECU?

Some supported ECU work can be completed by post. Reading or writing the ECU on the bench does not test the engine, drivetrain or road behaviour. We agree the vehicle checks and any follow-up work before accepting the unit.

Does tuning repair a fault?

No. A remap is not a repair for low fuel pressure, boost leaks, worn components or faulty emissions systems. Diagnostic work comes first if the vehicle has symptoms.

Can it be returned to standard?

Where a suitable original file or supported recovery route is available, restoration may be possible. We confirm this before work. Dealer software updates can overwrite a calibration; contact us before further programming.

What about insurance and warranty?

Tell your insurer about the planned modification and confirm cover before proceeding. Manufacturer or third-party warranty cover may be affected. Our written job scope explains the cover for our own work; this is not a warranty on the whole engine or gearbox.

Start with your vehicle or module details

Send clear label photos, the vehicle details and a short description of the problem. We confirm the appropriate service, price and next steps.
