A second-hand ECU usually needs more than the same-looking plug. We assess the original and donor units, the data available and the supported route before quoting cloning, programming or recovery.
Service availability and price confirmed for your exact vehicle or unit.

Choose the right service
Copy supported configuration and vehicle data from an original unit to a verified compatible donor.
Some replacements require software, coding or vehicle-side adaptation rather than a complete clone. We confirm the scope first.
Assessment after an interrupted write or corrupted software. Recovery depends on hardware condition and supported access.
A clear process
Provide clear original and donor ECU labels, registration or VIN, the fault history and diagnostic codes. Ask us before buying a replacement.
We check hardware/software compatibility, whether the original data can be read, and which functions the exact ECU supports. We explain any limitations before work.
Once accepted, label the units ORIGINAL and DONOR and include the job reference. Protect them separately in a rigid box with anti-static protection.
We perform the agreed read, transfer or programming and the checks available on the bench. Your handover identifies any coding, adaptations or vehicle tests still needed.
Hardware revision, software family, engine, transmission and production changes can affect compatibility. Some security data cannot be transferred using the available route. We do not label every cloned unit plug and play.
No communication does not always mean no readable data, but severe damage can prevent recovery. We assess the unit first. If the necessary data is unavailable, an alternative programming route may be needed or the job may not be possible.
The agreed unit or units, a work record and any remaining installation requirements. A bench verification does not prove the absence of vehicle wiring, power-supply or immobiliser faults.
On a supported and compatible cloning route this may be possible. We confirm the required data and any extra adaptation before accepting the job. It is not guaranteed from a part number alone.
Send both labels before purchasing. This reduces the risk of buying a unit that cannot be used for the supported replacement route.
No. Availability is specific to the control unit, revision and readable data. Send the identification first; we check support before quoting.
No. Cloning transfers supported data to another unit. A damaged donor, an unreadable original or an unresolved vehicle fault can require a different repair route.
Send clear label photos, the vehicle details and a short description of the problem. We confirm the appropriate service, price and next steps.
