BGA reflow and reball for automotive control units – engine ECUs, gearbox controllers, instrument clusters, infotainment and body modules. For garages, repairers and owners who need a cracked BGA joint under a processor, memory or graphics chip put right.
Price and payment
| Reflow – one BGA chip | £90 | Controlled reflow of an existing BGA joint with profile and preheat. Suitable for early-stage joint cracking. |

| Reball – one BGA chip | £180 | Chip removed, pads cleaned, new solder balls with a chip-specific stencil, refitted and inspected. |
| Chip replacement / pad repair | Quoted | New or donor chip, lifted or burnt pads, and any programming or data transfer needed after replacement. |
Each additional BGA chip on the same board is quoted. Where the unit allows it, memory is read and saved before heating. Every job includes a functional check where we can test the unit, a written report and tracked UK return.
Before you order
- Send the part number and a photo of the board or label first so we can confirm the chip and the stencil.
- A reball cannot fix a chip that has failed internally – if we find that, we quote replacement before doing anything else.
- If the job cannot be done, you are refunded the price less the £45 diagnostic assessment.
