Service overview

Bench testing and a written report – repair only if you approve the quote.

Diagnostic assessment and written repair quotation: £45 per module, plus transport. Repair price agreed after assessment. Contact us before sending your unit so we can confirm that we support it, the tests included and the delivery costs.

Assessment and a written diagnostic report for a supported automotive electronic module. Contact us with the unit's part number and symptoms so we can confirm the available tests and transport arrangements before you send it.

What the assessment may include

  • Unit identification and visual inspection
  • Supply and communication checks where supported
  • Recorded measurements and tests available for the unit
  • Written findings, test limitations and recommended next steps

A diagnostic report does not include a repair unless expressly agreed. We quote any repair separately and wait for your approval.

Assessment, repair price and payment

£45 covers the agreed diagnostic assessment and a written report. We identify the unit, inspect its condition and investigate the reported fault using the bench tests available for that module. Your report states the findings, checks completed, test limitations and recommended next steps. Where repair is possible, we provide an itemised quotation.

The £45 is not the price of a repair. The repair price depends on the confirmed fault, damage, parts and work required. Your quotation sets out the repair scope, parts and labour, verification checks, expected turnaround, warranty and transport charges. We wait for your approval before carrying out repair work.

If you accept the repair: the £45 assessment payment is credited against the quoted repair total for the same unit and job. You pay the remaining balance plus the agreed transport charges. Transport is charged separately and is not included in the £45 credit.

If you decline, no fault is found or repair is not possible: the completed assessment costs £45, plus the transport charges agreed with you. You receive the findings and your unit back. A completed assessment is chargeable even when it does not lead to a repair. If we cannot carry out the assessment we agreed, we contact you to agree the next step rather than charging for work not provided.

No unexpected extras: further investigation outside the agreed assessment, or a change to the repair scope or price, needs your written approval first. You can decline a revised quotation. Any unused advance is refunded to the original payment method; your statutory rights are unaffected.

Collection and return delivery are quoted separately for your packed parcel, postcode and required carrier cover. The complete amount payable is confirmed before you pay. See collection and delivery.

Request an assessment or contact us on WhatsApp. An enquiry is free and does not authorise paid work. Once the service and transport are agreed, we provide a secure store payment link. We do not automatically charge for repairs or additional work.

Cancellation before assessment starts is not subject to an automatic £45 fee. Consumer cancellation rights apply; see how it works and our refund policy.

Vehicle lists are identification guidance, not a fitment guarantee. Send the complete part number and hardware revision for confirmation before ordering. A similar-looking unit is not proof of compatibility.
